We also offer a sawmill blade sharpening service.

Sawmill Blade Sharpening
Each blade is tagged, cleaned, inspected, tooth set using the WM BMT250 Automatic Dual Tooth Setter and sharpened using a WM BMS250 Bandsaw Blade Sharpener with an oil cooled CBN grinding wheel making your blades super sharp.
Blade width: 1" - 2"
CBN Grinding Wheels: 4/32, 7/34, 7/39, 7/47, 9/29, 10/30 (3/4" & 7/8"), WM Vortex
Price is $9.00 per blade plus tax. There will be an extra charge per blade if blade requires additional passes due to irregular tooth profile or damaged teeth.
Minimum 5 blade orders.
Blades can be dropped off at the Bainbridge, NY location by appointment only.
Accepting shipments from anywhere within the U.S. Shipments must include a prepaid return shipping label.

Dave's Sawmill Service offers a wide range of milling services from portable saw-milling to
on-site custom milling, giving you the best quality of lumber.

• Live edge slabs up to 30 inches.

Portable Saw-milling

Travel will be $2.00 per mile times total miles from our shop to your location, one way. Our saw resides in Bainbridge, NY

Our hourly rate is $85.00 per hour. Minimum 4 hours. Starts at setup and ends when milling is complete.

All logs are scanned for metal with our metal detector before loading onto the mill. If a blade becomes damaged due to metal in the log that wasn't detected, there will be a $35.00 per new blade fee.

If moving logs to the milling area is needed and additional equipment is required, there may be an additional quote for the service.

Customer responsible for by-products. Scrap wood and sawdust.

Portable Saw-milling Site Prep
It's suggested that you prepare your site before we arrive with our equipment.

All logs should be in one location. There will be an extra charge if log skidding is required.

Area must be flat and clear to allow sawmill to be backed in next to logs.

Logs are loaded from the left (drivers side) of the sawmill..

On-Site Saw-milling
We also offer on-site saw-milling where you can bring your logs to Bainbridge NY to have your logs custom milled. Our hourly rate for on-site milling is $85.00 an hour.

About Us
Dave's Sawmill Service was started in 2022. It all started when my wife suggested I purchase a sawmill and start a business after retirement. I have been a woodworker all my life and my experience working with wood made it a perfect match.
So we purchased a Norwood HD36V2 and assembled the sawmill in 2022 and also purchased a Iron Bull 16' trailer and added a log arch to pickup logs. In 2023 we added full hydraulics to the sawmill and we also purchased a Wood-Mizer BMS250 Bandsaw Blade Sharpener and a BMT250 Automatic Dual Tooth Setter to add another service to the business.
We provide portable saw-milling service to NY's Broome, Chenango, Delaware & Otsego counties and we also provide sawmill blade resharpening.
